A holiday full of activity
South Tyrol is movement
South Tyrol is movement. Pleasure cyclists and families push the pedals directly from our house Wiesenstein, explore the neighbouring villages and cruise on the former Roman road Via Claudia Augusta through orchards to Bolzano, to Lago di Caldaro and on to Lake Garda. Return comfortably by train. Mountain bikers conquer the local mountain Monte San Vigilio and woodland and forestry paths. Those who are not so keen on working their way uphill glide into lofty heights in a cable car. Hikers, Nordic walkers and joggers have plenty to smile about on Monte San Vigilio and the surrounding mountains. Popular leisure activities also include tennis, golf, fishing, paragliding, parachuting and others.
In winter the sun invites you to go walking. Skiers, snowshoe hikers and cross country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy their sports to their heart’s content in the surrounding skiing areas. Schwemmalm in Val d’Ultimo, Merano 2000, Plan, Obereggen and more - all easily reached within a 30-40 minute car journey. From Lana you easily reach the most beautiful Christmas markets in South Tyrol.
